Jaren Jackson Jr. will need to undergo a procedure to repair a turf toe injury in his right foot. Jackson suffered the injury during a live basketball run offsite, which was evaluated on Monday.
An update and preliminary timeline will be provided following the procedure, but Jackson is expected to make a full recovery.
Jackson and the Memphis Grizzlies also agreed to a five-year, $240 million renegotiate-and-extend contract as free agency opened on Monday.
Last season, Jackson averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 102. steals and 1.5 blocks in 29.8 minutes across 74 games.
