The New Orleans Pelicans signed Micah Peavy to a four-year, $8.7 million contract.

The first two years of the contract are guaranteed, with a trigger date in the third year, and a team option for the fourth year. 

The Pelicans drafted Peavy with the No. 40 pick in the draft.

Peavy averaged 17.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists last season for Georgetown. 

Malcolm Brogdon will likely remain unsigned until after Bradley Beal's situation is resolved. Brogdon has received interest from the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings and Milwaukee Bucks.

The Washington Wizards are open to sign-and-trade discussions involving Brogdon.

Brogdon appeared in 24 games this past season with the Washington Wizards, averaging 12.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 23.5 minutes. Brogdon is 32 and has played for four different teams over the past four seasons as he played out the remainder of his two-year, $45 million extension signed with the Indiana Pacers in 2021.

Trey Alexander and the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a Two-Way deal. Alexander was the G League Rookie of the Year in 2025.

Alexander appeared 30 G League games where he averaged 25.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 37.0 minutes.

Alexander also appeared limited minutes in 24 games with the Denver Nuggets. 

The New Orleans Pelicans have waived Antonio Reeves. Reeves appeared in 44 games last season with the Pelicans, averaging 6.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 15.0 minutes. Reeves also averaged 24.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 38.8 minutes in 11 G League games.

Reeves was the 47th overall pick in 2024 out of Kentucky.

Jonathan Kuminga could re-sign with the Golden State Warriors on a short-term deal, according to Jake Fischer of The People's Insider.

Both Kuminga and the Warriors were prepared for a slowly developing market for the restricted free agent.

The Heat, Bulls, Kings, and Pelicans are interested in Kuminga at varying levels, though each team has challenges in adding the forward. 

The Heat are currently balking at Kuminga's potential $30 milliion-per-year price point and have also been linked with DeMar DeRozan and John Collins.

The Bulls are also hesitant of adding Kuminga's salary, with the Warriors no longer interested in acquiring Nikola Vucevic.

The Pelicans have also registered interest in Kuminga but have no easy path to add the forward while staying out of the luxury tax.

The Kings could include Malik Monk in a deal for Kuminga but no trade package has materialized with the Warriors.

Kevon Looney has agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. Looney spent 10 seasons with the Golden State Warriors.

Looney averaged 4.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 15.0 minutes across 76 games with the Warriors.

Looney, who is represented by Todd Ramasar, was the 30th overall pick by the Warriors in 2015 out of UCLA.

The restricted free agency market for Jonathan Kuminga is beginning to materialize with the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans interested in pursuing him via sign-and-trade scenarios. 

The Warriors haven't ruled out re-signing Kuminga, but are also amenable to a sign-and-trade if the return outweighs that scenario. The process is not expected to be resolved quickly in restricted free agency. 

Kuminga, who is represented by Aaron Turner, averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists and a PER of 15.6 last season. The Warriors used the seventh overall selection on Kuminga in 2021 after his season with the G League Ignite. Kuminga has been inconsistent during his time with the Warriors, but hasn't been the best stylistic fit in Steve Kerr's offense. The addition of Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline further complicated Kuminga's fit with their lack of spacing in lineups also featuring Draymond Green.

The New Orleans Pelicans have declined their $2.3 million team option for Brandon Boston Jr. This makes Boston an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The Pelicans signed Boston to a standard contract in late-February. In 42 games (10 starts) with New Orleans, Boston averaged 10.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists. The 23-year-old guard shot 43.6% from the field and 35% from behind the arc.

The New Orleans Pelicans have declined their $3.15 million team option on Elfrid Payton for the 2025-26 season. 

Payton averaged 3.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 21.3 minutes across 24 games last season with the Charlotte Hornets and Pelicans. Payton had two separate stints with the Pelicans with the Hornets' stint in-between. 

Payton is represented by Darrell Comer. 

Hunter Dickinson has agreed to a Two-Way contract with the New Orleans Pelicans after going undrafted out of Kansas.

Dickinson, who is represented by Rich Paul, averaged 17.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks in 30.2 minutes across 34 games for the Jayhawks as a fifth-year senior. Dickinson spent his first three seasons at Michigan.
