Philadelphia Sixers Wiretap

Kyle Lowry and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a one-year deal. Lowry will be in his 20th NBA season and his third with the Sixers.

Lowry averaged 3.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists last season for the Sixers. Philadelphia also has Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain and VJ Edgecombe in the backcourt.

Lowry first joined the Sixers after the trade deadline in 2024 when he was bought out by the Charlotte Hornets following his trade from the Miami Heat.

Restricted free agent guard Quentin Grimes and the Philadelphia 76ers don't seem close to signing a new contract. There has reportedly been little to no movement between Grimes and Philadelphia on a new deal.

Grimes had a breakout season after joining the Sixers in a midseason trade. In 28 games with Philadelphia, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 21.9 points on 47%, including 37% on three-pointers. Grimes also grabbed 5.2 rebounds, dished out 4.5 assists and snagged 1.5 steals per game.

The 76ers are about $2 million under the luxury tax and $10 million under the first apron with 13 players on their roster. Grimes has reportedly been looking for a $25 million a year contract, which would push Philadelphia past the first apron, and possibly over the second apron.

Jabari Walker has agreed to a Two-Way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Walker appears in 60 games last season with the Portland Trail Blazers where he averaged 5.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 12.5 minutes.

Walker was a late second round pick in 2022 out of Colorado by the Blazers.

The Philadelphia 76ers signed Trendon Watford to a two-year, $5.3 million deal on Wednesday.

The Sixers will have a team option for the second year.

Heading into his fifth season in the NBA, Watford averaged 10.2 points and 3.6 rebounds last season with the Nets. 

The Philadelphia 76ers have re-signed veteran guard Eric Gordon after he declined his $3.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season. Gordon returns to Philadelphia on a new one-year contract that reduces the team's cap hit to $2.3 million.

Gordon originally joined the 76ers last offseason, and proved to be a reliable three-point threat throughout his first season. The veteran guard averaged 6.8 points while shooting 40.9 percent from beyond the arc in 39 games with 13 starts.

The Indiana native's most productive stretch came in January when he appeared in all 17 Philadelphia games. Gordon averaged 9.8 points on 52.0 percent shooting from the field and an impressive 52.6 percent from three-point range during that month.

Gordon reached double-digit scoring on 14 occasions during the 2024-25 season, with 11 of those performances occurring in January. His season-high 15 points came against Cleveland on January 24, when he shot a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range. Gordon's 40.9 percent three-point shooting last season marked the fourth-highest rate of his NBA career.

Guerschon Yabusele and the New York Knicks have agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract. Yabusele will receive a player option for Year 2 ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Yabusele, who is represented by Richie Felder, Olivier Mazet and Drew Morrison, returned to the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers this past season after five seasons playing in Europe. Yabusele was on a one-year, $2.1 million deal with the Sixers.

In 70 games with the Sixers, Yabusele averaged 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27.1 minutes with shooting splits of 50/38/73.

Trendon Watford and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a two-year, $5.3 million deal. 

Watford averaged 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 21.2 minutes across 43 games with the Brooklyn Nets last season. Watford went undrafted out of LSU in 2021.

The Sixers are unlikely to retain Guerschon Yabusele this offseason and Watford will help replace him in their rotation.

Eric Gordon has declined his $3.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season with the Philadelphia 76ers. Gordon, however, could still re-sign with the Sixers in free agency. The Sixers would have had a $3.4 million cap hit if Gordon opted-in whereas re-signing on a one-year deal will lower the cap hit to $2.3 million.

Gordon, who is represented by Todd Ramasar, appeared in 39 games in his second season with the Sixers and averaged 6.8 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 19.7 minutes. Gordon shot 40.9 percent from three. 

The Sixers have a somewhat crowded backcourt with Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain, VJ Edgecombe and possibly a re-signed Quentin Grimes. 

The Philadelphia 76ers have declined their team option on Lonnie Walker IV for the 2025-26 season worth $2.9 million. Walker, who is an unrestricted free agent, is represented by George Langberg.

Walker averaged 12.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 23.8 minutes across 20 games with the Sixers last season. 

Walker also appeared in 33 games with Zalgiris where he averaged 13.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 20.6 minutes.

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is picking up his $8.4 million for the 2025-26 season. Oubre re-signed on a two-year deal with the Sixers last offseason via the Room Exception.

In 60 games (57 starts) last season, Oubre averaged 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds. The veteran forward also shot a career-high 47% from the field.
