Roddy was sent from the Rockets to the Hawks as part of the Kevin Durant trade.
Roddy averaged 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds last season.

The Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets are working to involve a league-record seven teams in the Kevin Durant trade, sources told Fred Katz of The Athletic.
The Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves would also get involved in the deal.
The details of the trade are currently being negotiated, with no deal imminent.
The framework involves the Hawks sending Clint Capela to the Rockets in a sign-and-trade. With Durant still headed to Houston, Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green would go to the Suns. Daeqwon Plowden is the only other active NBA player involved in the deal.
The rest of the players are from draft-night trades that were already agreed upon, which cannot be finalized until July 6.
Jake Fischer of The People's Insider adds that a six-team trade was being discussed during the second round of last week's draft. The Hawks adding Capela to the mix in a sign-and-trade would make it seven teams.
Luke Kennard and the Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a one-year, $11 million deal.
Kennard averaged 8.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 22.6 minutes across 65 games last season for the Memphis Grizzlies. Kennard is a career 43.8 percent three-point shooter and shot 43.3 percent last season.
Kennard, who is represented by Steven Heumann, Aaron Mintz and Dave Spahn, will join Kristaps Porzingis and Nickeil Alexander-Walker as new additions to the Hawks.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker has agreed to a four-year, $62 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks. Alexander-Walker will receive a player option and trade kicker on the deal.
Alexander-Walker has emerged as one of the NBA's best two-way guards during his tenure with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Alexander-Walker will be able to play beside both Trae Young and Dyson Daniels.
Alexander-Walker, who is represented by Aaron Mintz, averaged 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 25.3 minutes across all 82 games last season for the Wolves.
The Hawks will use their $25.3 million traded player exception they created from the Dejounte Murray deal last summer to absorb Alexander-Walker's contract while sending Minnesota a 2027 second round pick via the Cleveland Cavaliers and cash.
The Detroit Pistons are interested in signing Caris LeVert and acquiring Duncan Robinson via sign-and-trade, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line and Jake Fischer of The People's Insider.
The LeVert interest comes following rumors that the team will lose Dennis Schroder to the Kings, with Nickeil Alexander-Walker expected to move to the Hawks.
Robinson terminated his contract with the Heat on Sunday. The two sides are expected to work out a new deal or explore sign-and-trade scenarios.
The possible moves for LeVert and Robinson also come following news of Malik Beasley being investigated for gambling on NBA games.
Beasley and the Pistons were expected to sign a new deal in the ballpark of three-years, $42 million, though that is now on hold.

The Atlanta Hawks are emerging as favorites to acquire Nickeil Alexander-Walker via sign-and-trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line and Jake Fischer of The People's Insider. The Detroit Pistons are also rumored to be candidates for Alexander-Walker. Alexander-Walker, who is represented by Aaron Mintz, averaged 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists with a PER of 11.5 last season.
The Hawks would use their $25.3 million traded player exception they created from the Dejounte Murray deal last summer to absorb Alexander-Walker's contract.

The Atlanta Hawks have declined their $2.27 million team option on Dominick Barlow for the 2025-26 season. Barlow, who is represented by Todd Ramasar, went undrafted out of Overtime Elite in 2022.
After spending his first two seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, Barlow averaged 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.7 minutes across 35 games with the Hawks last season. Barlow was initially on a Two-Way contract with the Hawks and converted to a standard deal in March.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker has emerged as one of the better free agents available this offseason. The Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks are contenders to sign Alexander-Walker. Both teams would likely offer deals starting near or at the Non-Taxpayer MLE amount of $14.1 million.
The Minnesota Timberwolves luxury tax and apron status means that Alexander-Walker could be available this summer for more than the Wolves can pay him. Minnesota recently agreed to a new deal with Naz Reid worth $125 million over five years. The Timberwolves are also expected to bring back Julius Randle, who has a $30.9 million player option for next season.
Detroit could be looking for backcourt upgrades, as free agent guard Malik Beasley is being investigated for gambling related to NBA games. In addition, Dennis Schroder is attracting interest around the NBA as a free agent.
The Hawks are resetting their depth this offseason. Atlanta acquired Kristaps Porzingis from the Boston Celtics, and drafted Asa Newell at the 2025 NBA Draft. Those moves have Atlanta looking for backcourt depth behind starters Trae Young and Dyson Daniels.
Masai Ujiri was considered a potential candidate to become president of basketball operations of the Atlanta Hawks, but the team is believed to have now moved on from the idea. Ujiri was linked to the Hawks in May before they hired Bryson Graham and Peter Dinwiddie to work under newly promoted general manager Onsi Saleh.
The Hawks are now operating as though Saleh will be the top basketball executive for the foreseeable future. Saleh's deals for Kristaps Porzingis and the better 2026 first round pick between the New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks as earned praise from his fellow decision-makers across the NBA.
The Hawks hired Saleh away from the Golden State Warriors during the 2024 offseason.
Ujiri had been with the Raptors since 2013 and has previously been linked with other jobs such as the Washington Wizards and New York Knicks.
The Atlanta Hawks and guard Lamont Butler have agreed to a two-way contract. Butler will fill one of Atlanta's two available two-way spots. The Hawks have Daeqwon Plowden returning for a second year on a two-way deal.
Butler finished his NCAA career at Kentucky, following four years at San Diego State. The 6-foot-2 point guard averaged 11.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals as a senior.
